Vin Diesel-inspired concept is a diesel powered sportscar

Designer Imran Othman’s Diesel concept is a diesel powered sportscar. The designer believes that the rising costs of gasoline are trouble for sportscars, so getting a diesel hybrid into action could well act as the savior. Also, strangely enough, the concept takes inspiration from Vin Diesel and the movie Fast and the Furious.

More strange is the premise of the concept:
“Illegal Street Racing has become a headache for street racers because of the rising prices of petrol and maintaining a sports car when you keep on losing races.
A cheaper alternative… Diesel

powered by diesel
everything else except street legal!!”
Yep, that about sums it all.

British Man Escapes Jail Updates Facebook

British man jailed for 7 years escapes prison, updates Facebook status while on the run

An escaped prisoner — jailed for seven years for aggravated burglary — escaped the confines of his jail back in September. He’s been updating his Facebook page on a regular basis since then.

He has almost 4,000 followers at the time of writing, so you can imagine why the British police are a little annoyed right now. It’s hardly good publicity to have an escaped convict openly parading his freedom on a large social network in front of his friends, family and fans.

A quick look at his updates reveal gems such as: “Quick question….HOW MANY COPS ARE IN HERE TONIGHT!?” or “Thinking maybe we should get some fan t shirts made. What you think mates?”

Obviously the British feds (or ‘bobbies’) are trying to track him down with cooperation from Facebook, but as yet he has managed to escaped recapture. He must be a little more intelligent than the fellow who stole an Xbox and later logged on to Xbox Live using the original owner’s account: he was located and arrested by the police soon after.

Some thieves are obviously more intelligent than others…

Lamborghini Ankonian Concept Car

The Lamborghini Ankonian concept car was designed by Slavche Tanevsky. The supercar concept has an aggressive design, and is downsized to account for a more environment-friendly status, though it does not include any hybrid or similar technologies.

The mid-engined supercar has a narrow and rather complex-looking body, with a garnishing of GT proportions. Thin OLEDs embedded between the surfaces function as headlights, and while all those lines may look weird, the Ankonian supposedly makes the best use of it all. The concept was named after a bull type famous for black hair, and since the designer had some help from professional designers at Lamborghini and Audi, the finished model has impressive looks.
